Minnesota Vikings
The Minnesota Vikings are one of the best teams in the league, but they have a very big problem. Their problem is that they can’t win a game. They have enough talent to win the Super Bowl but they don’t know how to use it. This problem made winning the Super Bowl for the Minnesota Vikings almost impossible. Most people think that the main reason the Vikings are losing is because of Brett Favre, but it’s the head coach Brad Childress. The reason it’s mainly his fault is because he is the one that gave Brett the starting spot at quarterback. At the beginning of the season that wasn’t bad, but as the season went on he started to get hurt and get in trouble off the field. That’s when Brad should have told Favre to take a break and give the starting spot to number seven Tarvaris Jackson. The other thing that he really screwed up on is he lost his players friendship and trust. Those are two really important things to have as a coach. It makes the player want to play for you and also win for you. Instead of Childress having those two things and worrying more about getting a win. His players have been expressing discontent to the ESPN reporter about not playing for him, but playing for themselves. Brad Childress needs to get his team to gether or he’s going to be looking for a job next year. After Brad Childress it comes to Brett Favre’s fault. He is one of the reasons you shouldn’t be a Vikings fan. He is a forty-one year old man that plays NFL football with a bad ankle and shoulder. The biggest thing that makes his team lose is that he is leading the league with interceptions. One reason he makes his team lose and makes Brad Childress look really bad is that he doesn’t listen to the head coach, Brad Childress. So don’t like Brett Favre because he is a guy that can’t accept the fact that his career is over. That is why Brett Favre is the second biggest reason the Vikings are losing. The last reason the Minnesota Vikings are losing is injuries. Sidney Rice and Percy Harvin are the main two injuries on the team. Percy has been playing with the team but is unable to practice with the team because of his injury. Sidney Rice will be out for another two weeks. That is the third biggest reason the Minnesota Vikings are losing. If you’re a Vikings fan you might want to switch to a team that has a chance of winning the Super Bowl because it’s not cheering for a team that can’t even make the playoffs. One of the team that you could switch to is the New York Jets. They have a really good chance because there in the lead for their division. Hopefully you make the right decision and switch your favorite team or you will be the only one who doesn’t have a team to cheer for during the playoffs.
The Outsiders
Johnny is a 16 year old with brown hair and is a member of the Greasers. This character is scared because he got jump. They beat him up to the point that they didn’t if he was going to live, so ever since he’s been jumpy and carries a switch knife around with him. The best thing about this character is he cares about other people outside the greasers. When he saved those twenty-five kids from the fire when he could have left them to die, and wouldn’t have gotten hurt. This character is like me because we both hang in a group but when we see somebody that needs help we’re not afraid to step in and help. At the beginning of the book Johnny was quiet and didn’t really talk. He’s the person that’s scared of the Socs coming to their part of town. Johnny is the kid that has parents that beat him so he likes to hide in the empty lot and lollygag until mesonoxian, but he said that he kind of liked it when his dad beat him because it shows that his dad knows he’s there. The other thing that describes Johnny he’s really scared and gets really nervous around Socs because one time when he was walking home and they jumped him and beat him up. When the other greasers found him they took him to the hospital and didn’t know if he was going to live. A quote from the book that describes him is “It was worth saving those twenty-five kids.” Their lives are more important than mine. That best describes him because it shows how brave and caring for other people he is. Johnny turns into a better person throughout the story. He started caring for other people for example he saved twenty-five kids from a fire when other members of the Greasers said they would have left the kids and saved themselves. One the other thing that showed that was when he stabbed the Soc so they would leave Ponyboy alone. The thing Johnny said was “They were going to kill you and then beat me up.” That shows that he cared because he kills somebody to protect his friend. There aren’t that many people that would kill somebody to protect their friend; they would just run away because they’re scared. He does these things because he knows how important it is for Ponyboy and the little kids to live because he thinks that they have more. The reason he thinks that because his parents don’t care about him and all he has is his friends. That is how Johnny changes throughout the story, but towards the end he changes a little more. Near the end of the novel Johnny begins to get worried because the doctor said that he might die because he was starting to lose abiotrophy. Finally at the end he dies because of the injuries that he got from the fire. One of the things that Johnny said that showed that he was worried is “I don’t want to die, Pony, I’ve talked about it but now that I’m dying I don’t want to sixteen years isn’t enough.” That is the thing that best shows that he’s worried at the end of this story. This change is for the worse because he’s dying at the age of sixteen and that’s not very long. That is what Johnny’s like at the end of the story. There are many things that can be learned from this character. One of the things that I learned is help other people that you don’t know. That is a really important lesson to learn from this story because some people will just watch when people need assistance. If you understand this lesson you should stop and help people when they need it. Some of the things this character has been through is his dad beats him, he gets chased by the cop, and he dies from the burns he got from a fire. That is what Johnny has been through and about him in the novel The Outsiders by S.E Hinton.
