Patriotism
Does patriotism still matter in the United States of America? Some people have a lot of patriotism and some don’t even know what it is. Patriotism is when you are loyal to your country. Voting would be considered patriotism because it shows that you care what’s going on in the country. There are many different ways you can show patriotism. One of the ways that millions of people do is vote for the president of the United States of America. The next step up after that is to get involved by helping people in need. After hurricanes when people go and help rebuild houses and give them food that is considered patriotism. Joining the army is one of the best ways you can show your patriotism because you have to protect your country and leave your family to go overseas so people in the U.S.A can have freedom. When they join the army, navy, or marines they know that there is a chance that they won’t return but they still go because they have patriotism. Patriotism could be helping somebody that is being bullied. They could be getting bullied because there overweight, look different, or talk funny. If you would stand up for them it would be considered patriotism because you are standing up for a fellow American. America is like a big family. We have are ups and downs and don’t always get along but we always stand strong. When 9/11 happened people just didn’t give up they kept going to rebuild and help each other get though a tough time. That is why standing up for somebody else is considered patriotism. There are many other ways that you could show patriotism for example you could stand up for somebody else is in trouble. Overall patriotism still matters. No matter what happens to this country patriotism will always be there to back us up.
